Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve Celebrates Heart's Day: Love is a Monstrous Thing (But the Good Kind!)
Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we celebrate all things strange and mysterious, and that includes love! While our residents may not be your typical valentine's day bunch (we're looking at you Bartholomew the Bog Beast), they all have hearts of...well, mostly metaphorical hearts. But that doesn't mean they don't feel love!
Did You Know?
Love Potions and Goblins: Throughout history, folklore is filled with tales of love potions and spells. Even the Goblin Market, a famous poem by Christina Rossetti, features goblins who tempt women with heart-shaped fruits that can induce powerful emotions. Here at the Preserve, we don't recommend goblin treats, but we can tell you our resident lovelorn Gnome, Gnormus, has been whipping up a rather unique batch of his "Guaranteed Gnomey Goodness" pink-hued tea. Let's just say the results have been...interesting.
Two-Headed Romance: Love doesn't discriminate against the number of heads you have! Our beloved two-headed Jackalope, Jax and Jill, are a perfect example. They may bicker from time to time (mostly about who gets to nibble on the dandelions first) but their bond is undeniable. Jax and Jill remind us that love comes in all forms, even if it takes two heads to agree!
Monstrous Matchmaking: Legends are filled with creatures who find love in unexpected places. Beauty and the Beast may be the classic tale, but there are many more! Here at the Preserve, we encourage our residents to mingle. Who knows, maybe Bartholomew the Bog Beast will find his happily ever after with Beatrice the Basilisk. Hey, stranger things have happened!
So this Heart's Day, remember that love is a powerful and mysterious thing, just like the creatures we house here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve. It can be beautiful, strange, and sometimes a little monstrous, but it's always worth celebrating!
