Honoring Indigenous Voices at Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve

On World Indigenous Peoples Day, we at Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve celebrate the rich history, knowledge, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities around the world. Indigenous peoples have a deep connection to the natural world and have safeguarded ecological knowledge for generations. Their traditions and stories are often intertwined with cryptids and fantastical creatures, offering unique insights into the natural world.

One such cryptid with possible Indigenous origins is the Sasquatch, also known as Bigfoot.  Tribes of the Pacific Northwest have legends of large, hairy humanoids dwelling in the forests.  These tales share some characteristics with modern Sasquatch sightings, suggesting a potential connection to Indigenous knowledge and cultural beliefs.
