This quirky holiday is a fantastic opportunity to dust off those family heirlooms, scour flea markets for hidden treasures, and appreciate the craftsmanship and stories woven into everyday objects of the past. But have you ever considered the not-so-everyday objects some folks might have tucked away?

Take, for instance, the legend of the Spring-Heeled Jack. This Victorian-era terror supposedly stalked the streets of London, leaping great distances and breathing fire. While most historians dismiss Spring-Heeled Jack as a hoax, perhaps there's something more to the story.
