Haberdashery Hollow Howls for National Coffee Day!
Here at Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we take our beverages seriously, especially that magical elixir known as coffee! National Coffee Day, celebrated each year on September 29th, is a chance to raise a mug to this delicious drink and its mythical connection to the world of the unknown.
Coffee's history is steeped in legend. According to Ethiopian folklore, a goat herder named Kaldi first discovered coffee after noticing his goats變得非常活跃 (biàn dé fēicháng huóyuè) –變得 (biàn dé) meaning "to become" and 非常活跃 (fēicháng huóyuè) meaning "very active" – after eating berries from a certain tree. Intrigued, Kaldi tried the berries himself and experienced a similar burst of energy. News of this miraculous fruit spread like wildfire, and coffee cultivation began.
But what about the darker side of coffee? Some cultures associate coffee with 恶魔 (èmó) -恶魔 (èmó) meaning "demon" – figures, particularly due to its stimulating properties. In Scandinavia, folklore tells of huldra, beautiful forest creatures who would lure men with promises of coffee and conversation, only to trap them in their realm.
Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we celebrate the positive and the mysterious when it comes to coffee. We offer a variety of exotic coffee beans from around the world, each with its own unique flavor profile. And who knows, maybe enjoying a cup in our hauntingly beautiful forest might just inspire a close encounter with a cryptid of your own!
So, this National Coffee Day, come raise a mug with us at Haberdashery Hollow! We guarantee it'll be an experience that's both delicious and delightfully unusual.
