Asmr Day

Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve Celebrates International ASMR Day!

Get ready to tingle! Today, the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve joins the world in celebrating International ASMR Day! ASMR, or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is that delightful tingling sensation that washes over you in response to certain sounds and visuals. Here at the Preserve, we know a thing or two about otherworldly whispers and spine-tingling sights, so we're diving headfirst into the world of ASMR with a cryptid twist!

What is ASMR?

ASMR can be triggered by a variety of stimuli, like soft speaking, crinkling paper, or gentle tapping. The feeling is often described as a pleasant tingling that starts in the scalp and spreads down the neck and back. Some people even report feeling relaxed and calmer after experiencing ASMR.

The Haberdashery Howl

While whispering voices might be a common ASMR trigger, here at the Preserve, we want to celebrate the unique sounds of our resident cryptids. Have you ever heard the Haberdashery Howl? On a clear night, sometimes a long, mournful cry echoes through the woods around the Preserve. Some say it's the wail of a lonely werewolf, others claim it's the territorial call of a Bigfoot. Whatever the source, the Haberdashery Howl is a guaranteed spine-tingler, sure to send shivers down your spine in the best ASMR way possible.

DIY Moss Garden Creation

Looking to create your own little world of relaxation? Our resident cryptid expert, Dr. Esmeralda "Esme" Pangloss, recommends creating a DIY Moss Garden. Moss is a low-maintenance plant that thrives in cool, damp environments, making it perfect for an indoor terrarium. Plus, the sound of dripping water on moss is a well-known ASMR trigger!

Esme suggests collecting some moss from a shaded area outdoors (with permission, of course!). Then, find a clear container with a lid and fill it with a mixture of potting soil, sand, and gravel. Arrange the moss on top and mist it with water regularly. You can even add small rocks or driftwood to create a miniature landscape.

So, this International ASMR Day, tune in to the unique sounds of the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve. Maybe you'll hear the Haberdashery Howl, or perhaps the rustling of a feathered serpent through the trees. Who knows, you might just discover your own personal cryptid ASMR trigger!
