santas list

Ho Ho Ho! It's National "Make Santa's List" Day at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve!

Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we celebrate all sorts of unusual holidays, and today is a doozy! National "Make Santa's List" Day, on December 4th, is a chance for everyone, young and old, to reflect on the year gone by and make sure they've been good enough for Santa's good graces. But let's face it, even the most saintly among us might have a few minor…infractions on their record. Don't worry, that's where the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve comes in!

Throughout history, many cultures have believed in creatures that keep an eye on human behavior, both good and bad. The Krampus, a half-goat, half-demon from Central European folklore, is said to punish naughty children during the Christmas season. In Japan, the Namahage, a fierce-looking oni (demon) visits homes on New Year's Eve, rewarding good children and reprimanding bad ones. Here at the Preserve, we even have rumors of a benevolent cryptid called the "Santa Gauntlet Guardian" who whispers good deeds (and not-so-good deeds) directly to Santa's ear!

Whether you're worried about a last-minute shopping spree or a forgotten chore, there's still time to make things right. Here are a few ideas to get you started on your Santa's List:

Remember, Santa is looking for a genuine effort to be good, so don't despair if you haven't been perfect. National "Make Santa's List" Day is your chance to turn things around and show the spirit of the season! So grab a pen and paper, make your list, and check it twice. With a little extra effort, you'll be sure to find your name on the nice list come Christmas morning!
