Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve Celebrates National Cold Brew Day!
Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we celebrate all things unique and a little bit mysterious, and what's more mysterious than a perfectly brewed cup of cold brew coffee? That's right, folks, today is National Cold Brew Day, a day to honor this smooth, refreshing drink perfect for those long summer days (or nights, we don't judge!).
But did you know that cold brew coffee has a history as deep and strange as some of the cryptids we house here at the Preserve? Legend has it that in the 17th century, Dutch sailors in Africa would soak their coffee grounds in cold water for extended periods. This "Dutch-processed" coffee was said to be a refreshing pick-me-up that wouldn't spoil in the hot African climate. While the exact origins remain shrouded in a bit of mystery, much like the elusive Jackalope (whose alertness and legendary caffeine addiction some might say is fueled by a steady stream of cold brew), there's no doubt that cold brew has become a beloved beverage.
Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we're not just about showcasing our resident creatures, but also about celebrating the unique aspects of human culture, especially those with a touch of the extraordinary. Cold brew, with its slow steeping process and bold, yet smooth flavor, perfectly embodies that spirit.
So, how will you be celebrating National Cold Brew Day? Will you be brewing a batch at home, using our special Haberdashery Cryptid Blend (available at the gift shop!), or venturing out to your favorite local coffee shop for a perfectly chilled cup? No matter how you choose to partake, let's raise a glass (or mason jar) to this delicious and mysterious drink.
Pro Tip: For a truly unique cold brew experience, try adding a splash of our very own "Swamp Water" syrup, a refreshing blend of local blueberries and a hint of mystery (wink, wink). Just don't tell the Mothman – that's his favorite!
