August 15

failures day

Happy Failures Day!

Every year on august 15, we celebrate Failures Day here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve! This quirky holiday is a chance to embrace the stumbles, missteps, and outright failures that pave the way for eventual success. After all, even the most magnificent cryptids had to start somewhere, right?

Take the Jersey Devil, for instance. Legend has it that this infamous creature was the result of a farmer’s attempt to create a super-strong horse. The resulting offspring was far from what the farmer had envisioned, but it certainly captured the public’s imagination!

Failures Day is a reminder that even the most seemingly catastrophic mistakes can hold valuable lessons. It’s a day to celebrate the messy middle of any creative process, the trial and error that goes into bringing something new and wonderful into existence. So, here’s to the flops, the fumbles, and the face-plants – they’re all part of the fascinating journey towards achievement!

How to Celebrate Failures Day at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve

 * Visit the “Fizzle to Fabulous” exhibit, featuring some of our cryptids’ most hilarious missteps (according to local folklore, of course).

 * Participate in our “Cryptid Catastrophe Challenge” – create a short story or illustration about a cryptid’s epic fail.

 * Share your own failures (big or small) on social media using #HaberdasheryFailuresDay.
