panini day

Happy Panini Day!

We here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve love a good panini, and what better day to celebrate this delicious toasted sandwich than Panini Day? But did you know that panini have a long and interesting history?

The word "panini" is actually the plural of "panino," which is Italian for "small bread roll." Panini are believed to have originated in northern Italy in the 15th century, where they were a popular food among workers. They were made with simple ingredients, such as bread, cheese, and meat, and were grilled over a fire.

Over time, panini became more popular throughout Italy and eventually spread to other parts of the world. Today, there are endless variations of panini, with fillings to suit every taste.

A Monstrously Delicious Recipe

Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we thought we'd create a special panini recipe to celebrate Panini Day. We call it the "Jersey Devil Double-Decker."
