Biscuit Day

Happy National Biscuit Day from the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve!

While some might scoff at a day dedicated to these delightful baked goods, here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we understand the power of a good biscuit. Just like a perfectly golden biscuit, our resident cryptids come in all shapes, sizes, and temperaments – but they all share a surprising appreciation for these flaky treats!

Biscuits and Beasties: A Match Made in Monsterland

Many might be surprised to learn that some of our most mysterious residents have a sweet tooth. The elusive Hidebehind, for instance, is rumored to leave behind a single, warm biscuit as a thank you to those who leave out offerings of milk and honey. Historians believe this tradition might be linked to a time when Hidebehinds were far more common and played a vital role in keeping rodent populations in check.

But wait, there's more! Our very own Swamp Sasquatch (affectionately known as Sully) has a legendary biscuit recipe passed down through generations of his kind. The secret ingredient? A sprinkle of moon moth dust, said to enhance the flavor and texture. (Unfortunately, moon moth dust is incredibly rare and collecting it is strictly prohibited to protect this endangered creature.)

Celebrate with Us!

To celebrate National Biscuit Day, we'll be hosting a special baking session in the Cryptid Cafe. Our chefs, who are all experts in handling the most unusual culinary requests, will be teaching visitors how to make classic buttermilk biscuits with a Haberdashery twist. Who knows, you might even get a glimpse of a curious cryptid joining the baking fun!

So come on down, grab a rolling pin, and join us for a day of celebrating these delightful treats and the fascinating creatures who share our love for them!
