Backward Day

Happy Backwards Day...Even Our Cryptids Are Confused!

Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we celebrate all sorts of strange and unusual occurrences, and today is no exception! Today, on January 31st, we have a curious convergence of holidays: Backwards Day and, well, the day they say hell freezes over!

Now, while we can't confirm any literal icy infernos (though some of our Frostitutes might disagree), we can certainly appreciate the delightfully bizarre nature of Backwards Day. Imagine our mischievous Hidebehinds trying to navigate the forest with everything reversed – trees with leaves underground, rivers flowing uphill, and poor Wilbur the Sasquatch trying to decipher a backwards map!

Of course, some might say that a frozen hell and a backwards day are practically the same thing. After all, wouldn't the underworld be a sight to behold if the usual fiery torment was replaced by a slippery, icy landscape? Perhaps the Jersey Devil would ice skate across the frozen lake where souls once simmered, or maybe the Loch Ness Monster would take up ice fishing!

The truth is, on Backwards Day, anything is possible – even seemingly impossible things like a frozen hell. So, here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we're raising a glass (or, perhaps more appropriately on this day, lowering it?) to the unexpected, the strange, and the downright nonsensical. After all, in the world of cryptids, a little backwards thinking can go a long way!

Come celebrate Backwards Day with us! For a limited time, enjoy our gift shop in reverse – with exits where entrances should be and prices mysteriously marked lower (though we can't guarantee they'll actually ring up that way at the register – it is Backwards Day, after all!) Our cryptids will also be participating in the festivities – witness Wilbur try to write his name backwards (it involves a lot of frustrated roars) and see if you can spot Nessie reading a book...from the back cover!

Happy Backwards Day, everyone! Let's embrace the weirdness and celebrate the unexplainable, because at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, that's what we do best!
