Celebrate Punctuation Day at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve!

Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we take all things language very seriously, and that includes the mighty comma, the powerful semicolon, and the often-underappreciated period! That's right, folks, today is Punctuation Day, a day to celebrate those little punctuation marks that turn scribbles into sentences and stories.

Punctuation might seem like a mundane part of writing, but it's like the spices in your favorite dish. A misplaced comma can completely change the meaning of a sentence, just like a dash of the wrong spice can ruin a perfectly good meal.

Speaking of misplaced things, have you heard the legend of the** Jersey Devil**? This mythical creature from South Jersey is said to be a nightmarish combination of various animals, with cloven hooves, a bat-like head, and a penchant for disappearing into the Pine Barrens mist. Legends say that the Jersey Devil's origins stem from a mother's desperate plea – "Let it be anything but human!" Well, thanks to some very poor punctuation, the plea was misinterpreted, and...well, let's just say the Jersey Devil is anything but a well-written legend.

But back to punctuation! Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we're celebrating Punctuation Day with a series of fun activities for the whole family:
