Tequila Day

Tequila Day at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve

Raise a glass (of responsibly sourced agave nectar, of course) to celebrate Tequila Day with us at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve! This lively holiday, observed every year on July 24th, is a chance to appreciate the unique spirit produced from the blue agave plant in Mexico.

Tequila: Agave's Gift

Tequila is a distilled beverage made from the core (or "piña") of the blue agave plant, a succulent native to Jalisco, Mexico. The agave plant matures slowly, taking up to 12 years to reach harvesting maturity. Once harvested, the piñas are roasted or steamed to release their sugars, which are then fermented and distilled to produce tequila.

Agave and the Chupacabra

Legend has it that the elusive Chupacabra, a cryptid said to prey on livestock in Latin America, has a taste for agave. Sightings of the Chupacabra often coincide with periods of agave harvesting, leading some to believe that the creature is attracted to the sweet nectar of the agave plants.

Celebrate Responsibly at the Haberdashery

Join us at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve on July 24th for a fun-filled day celebrating all things tequila! We'll have agave-themed treats, educational talks on the history and production of tequila, and of course, tastings of different types of tequila.

Remember, moderation is key! Enjoy your tequila responsibly and don't forget to designate a sober driver if you plan on indulging.
