Greetings, thrill-seekers and monster enthusiasts! The spookiest celebration of strategy and chance is upon us – it's Games Day! Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we take every opportunity to celebrate the curious and unusual, and games hold a special place in our monster-loving hearts.

Games have been a part of human history since before recorded time. From the simple rolls of dice to the elaborate tales spun in role-playing games, these activities bring people together, challenge our minds, and allow us to explore fantastical worlds. They can even provide a glimpse into the mysteries of the unknown.

Take, for instance, the legend of the Mongolian Death Worm. This terrifying cryptid, said to resemble a giant, glowing intestine, is rumored to lurk in the Gobi Desert. Legends say the Death Worm can burrow through sand at lightning speed, spitting venom and electrocuting its prey. The truth? • Hold a monster trivia night! Test your friends' knowledge of all things weird and wonderful with a night of cryptid-themed trivia. You might be surprised at how much you – and they – know about legendary beasts.

• Play a game inspired by myths and legends! Many classic board games have roots in folklore and mythology. Dust off your favorite game and see if you can find the connections between its gameplay and the fantastical stories of old.
