Love is in the Air...Even at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve!

Happy (almost) Valentine's Day, creature enthusiasts! While February 14th might be traditionally reserved for chocolates, roses, and mushy declarations, here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we celebrate love in all its wonderful forms – even the non-human kind!

Love is a powerful emotion, after all. It can drive us to great lengths, inspire works of art, and even, some might say, manifest creatures straight out of myth and legend. Take the Rougarou of Cajun folklore, for instance. This terrifying beast is said to be the product of a broken vow, a man cursed to transform into a monstrous wolf-like creature for failing to keep his promise to his beloved. A cautionary tale, perhaps, but a testament to the enduring power of love nonetheless.

But here at the Haberdashery, we prefer to focus on the positive aspects of love. After all, many cryptids exhibit remarkable social behaviours and complex family structures, suggesting strong emotional bonds. Look at the heartwarming relationships between Sasquatch mothers and their young, or the synchronized hunting techniques of werewolf packs. Love is a survival strategy, too!

So, this Valentine's Day, we encourage you to celebrate the love in your life, human or otherwise! Show your appreciation for that special someone, be it a devoted spouse, a loyal companion animal, or even a particularly grumpy cryptid neighbor (who knows, maybe they just need a box of chocolates!).
