Haberdashery Howls: Happy National Milk Day!
Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we celebrate all things strange and wonderful, and that includes celebrating some of our cryptids' more… unique… dietary habits! Today, on National Milk Day, we raise a glass (or, rather, a bowl?) to all things lacteal!
Now, most folks know cow's milk is a delicious and nutritious beverage. But did you know some cryptids have a taste for the moo-vellous stuff too? Our resident yeti, Big Bob, enjoys a steaming mug of yak milk after a long day of yeti-ing around the Himalayas. And who can forget the Loch Ness Monster? Nessie's been rumored to churn up the loch in pursuit of particularly creamy batches of plankton – some believe it might even explain the occasional milky white sighting!
But be warned, not all cryptids are lactose tolerant. The Jersey Devil, for instance, is said to have a rather…unpleasant… reaction to dairy. So next time you're enjoying a frosty glass of milk, remember: while it might be a delicious treat for you, it could spell stomach aches for some of our cryptid friends!
Stay tuned for more fun facts about cryptids and their favorite foods! In the meantime, swing by the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve gift shop and pick up a "Moo-vellous Myths" mug to celebrate National Milk Day!
