toilet paper day

Happy Toilet Paper Day

Here at the Haberdashery Cryptid Preserve, we celebrate all things unusual, and that includes everyday objects like toilet paper! Did you know that the first mass-produced toilet paper wasn't invented until the mid-19th century? Before that, people used all sorts of things to clean themselves, including leaves, corncobs, and even seashells!

While we're thankful for the convenience of toilet paper, it's important to use it responsibly. Did you know that the Jersey Devil loves to hoard toilet paper? Legend has it that this terrifying creature with hooves, wings, and a reptilian head will steal any toilet paper it finds left out in the open. So, be sure to keep your bathroom stocked but not overflowing to avoid attracting any unwanted visitors!

So, this Toilet Paper Day, take a moment to appreciate this essential bathroom staple and remember to use it wisely!
